We bring AI down to earth.
Welk Advisory helps small and mid-sized businesses find where AI actually fits, build it into the way they work, and train their teams to run with it. No hype, no jargon, no six-month roadmap before anything happens.
Who we are
Welk Advisory was founded by David Welk after roughly seven years selling B2B cybersecurity into small and mid-market companies. That meant a lot of time across the table from owners and operators who had been sold technology on fear and hype, and who mostly wanted someone to tell them the truth about what was actually worth doing.
AI is in that same moment now. The tools are real and genuinely useful, but most of what gets written about them is noise. We exist to cut through it: to look at how your business actually runs, find the handful of places where AI will save real time or win real revenue, build those things, and hand them over.
How we think about AI
Start from the work, not the tool. We do not arrive with a product to sell you. We start by understanding your operation, then work backward to where AI earns its place. If a process does not need AI, we will tell you.
Build, do not just advise. We design and implement the systems, so you end up with working software in your business, not a binder on a shelf.
Leave you more capable, not more dependent. We train your people to use these tools and spot the next opportunity themselves. The goal is to work ourselves out of the day-to-day job and stay on only for strategy and the genuinely hard problems.
Who we work with
Small and mid-sized businesses, usually owner-led or run by a small leadership team, where one good automation frees up real hours every week. We work remotely with clients across the United States and in person around Spokane, Washington.
The person behind it
David Welk leads every engagement personally. His background is sales and operations, not a computer-science lab, which is the point: he speaks the language of the business owner, and he builds the systems himself with modern AI tools. You can find him on LinkedIn.
Let's talk about your business.
